Similar PCB design

EK Water Blocks has announced that their current Titan X Pascal waterblock is compatible with the upcoming Nvidia's GTX 1080Ti Founders Edition graphics cards, confirming that both pixel accelerators have an extremely similar PCB design and identical memory and power phase placements.

Equipped with fullcover waterblock

Gainward already has a wide portfolio when it comes to graphics cards but that didn’t stop them from launching yet another model. The new card belongs to the IceSoul series and it is supposed to deliver solid performance at low temperature. The new GeForce GTX 1060 IceSoul 6GB graphics card features a fullcover waterblock with LED illumination.

Hanoicomputer

Today we can show you another build from Tran Tat Dat. In the past we’ve shared several of his beautiful projects and therefore it’s no wonder that his new “Star Wars” is exceptionally good looking again.

This time by Chiphell

Another set of benchmarks on AMD’s Ryzen CPUs has surfaced. This time it looks like the octa-core AMD 7 1800X has been tested. This model features 8 core, 16 thread and a TDP of 95W. The Ryzen 7 1800X should belong to the "Black Edition" series with a street price of $499 US.

6800 MB/s throughput performance

NVMe capable SSDs are growing increasingly popular these days, offering much higher transfer speeds than your usual SATA drive. New markets always offer new opportunities and that on the other hand means that different vendors will launch new products. Kingston today announced the DCP-1000 line of high-performance PCI-Express SSDs, targeted at enterprises and data-centers with high bandwidth demands. The drives come in the half-height add-on card form-factor and it's using a PCI-Express 3.0 x8 host interface.

Priced at $699 US

NVIDIA has finally been hosting a livestream announcing their new high-end GTX 1080 Ti graphic card. The new flagship model features 3584 CUDA Cores, 224 Texture Units, a 352-bit memory controller and 11 GB of GDDR5X memory. The card should be faster than a reference Titan X Pascale and 30% faster compared than the GeForce GTX 1080.

The new flagship

AMD has announced their RX Vega series of GPUs, which is going to replace the R9 Fury lineup. This new series of GPUs was announced at AMD's Capsaicin and Cream Event during the GDC, alongside their new "V for Vega" logo designed by AMD's Raja Koduri himself. The R9 Fury series was launched in summer 2015 therefore it’s about time we see something new and fast from AMD.

HRC

Today we have another build from HRC (High Resolution Computers) for you. In the past we’ve shared several of their builds and as you might know they always look exceptionally good.

Against an Intel Core i7-6800K CPU

A few days ago AMD has announced their new Ryzen 7 series processors including three new 8-core chips and they all come with a highly competitive price tag. So far we’ve only seen numbers in multi-threaded benchmarks, however thanks to a leak from PCEVA there are now more real-world benchmarks floating around.

On ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboard

AMD has posted a picture on Twitter of a Ryzen 7 1700 microprocessor running with 16GB of G.Skill 3400MHz DDR4 memory. In past days we have come across many rumors about Ryzen supporting high-speed DDR4 memory. This screenshot finally seems to prove that the IMC of the new AMD chips can perfom. On another note it’s interesting to see that a Ryzen 7 1700 has been used, which apparently is a non-”X” model.

Both compatible with E-ATX motherboards

The case manufacturer Anidees has now released their new AI Crystal Cube and AI5S PC cases in the US and in European markets. Both cases are compatible with E-ATX motherboards and they offer extensive water cooling support. There is for example enough space for 240 or 280 millimeters radiators in the front and in the top of both cases.

With black and red color scheme

XFX already has a wide portfolio when it comes to graphics cards but that didn’t stop them from launching yet another model. The new card belongs to the Crimson Edition series and it is supposed to deliver solid performance at a competitive price point. The new Radeon RX 480 Crimson Edition graphics card features a dark color scheme with red LED illumination.

PayFrog Custom

Today we have another build from PayFrog Custom for you. In the past we’ve shared several of their builds and as you might know they always look exceptionally good.

Featuring X370 and B350

In the shape of a press release MSI has officially announced that they are launching five different gaming motherboards, supporting AMDs new Ryzen processors. Since this is an official statement from MSI it finally includes information on the pricing.

Cheaper than Ryzen 3 chips

With Ryzen AMD is on the verge of launching their new high-end desktop processors. The lineup includes octa-core, hexa-core as well as quad-core parts but nevertheless customers will also expect even cheaper parts to follow and in that case we’re talking about upcoming APUs.

But so could AMD

With Skylake-X Intel is going to bring new high-end processors to the market. Apart from that there will also be a new chipset. According to new rumors the chip giant might come up with a 12 core / 24 thread flagship model.

Maybe a smart marketing stunt

Finally, there is competition in the market for desktop processors again. A few days before AMD is going to launch its Ryzen processors Intel is cutting the prices of a number of processors. The price cut is not that significant yet from a consumer’s perspective it really is good to see that the market starts moving.

More game optimisations

Following the launch of Sniper Elite 4, Halo Wars 2 and For Honor, NVIDIA releases a new driver supporting all those titles. For that purpose the GeForce 378.77 Hotfix driver has been launched and it’s also supposed to address some bugs that have surfaced.

AMD B350 compatible with Crossfire

With Ryzen AMD has introduced six new chipsets and two of them are already available for pre-order and they are about to become available next week. As we already mentioned a few times the X370 chipset marks the high-end segment, while the B350 is the mid-range offer and with the A320 AMD is taking care of the entry-level market. On top of that there are also three additional chipset, which have been developed for small form factor (SFF) solutions and they go by the names X300, B300 and A300.
