With a steep price

AMD has recently revealed its two new AMD FX-9000 series CPU and just a few days later we have some of the first pre-order listings that point out to a quite steep price.

Chip cooled down to -185°C

AMD's A10-6800K Richland APU might not be that much impressive when compared to previous Trinity chips but it looks like it will be quite famous with overclockers as Finnish overclocked The Stilt managed to get it all the way up to 8GHz.

Clocks confirmed, TDP as well

According to a report over at The Tech Report, that refer to an unnamed AMD source, it appears that AMD's upcoming FX-9000 series will initially be indeed limited to system integrators but that AMD is currently considering all other options in order to bring to retail.

AMD grabs another publisher

AMD has announced an exclusive cooperation with Square Enix and its upcoming Thief game that will be optimized for the Graphics Core Next architecture on its Radeon graphics cards as well as APUs.

Sky high TDP

Since quite some time there were rumors that a new FX processor from AMD might emerge. All those reports were talking about a processor that should feature clock speeds significantly higher than the ones you get with an AMD FX-8350. Today finally was the day and AMD sent out the press release, that the new AMD FX-9590 is going to make it to market.

With Curacao XT GPU

An alleged picture of AMD's upcoming HD 8970 have been leaked online and although it does not like anything we have seen so far, the rumor and picture should be taken with a grain of salt.

Shows the new Ruby tech-demo

But aimed for use with Kaveri

AMD's FM2+ socket aimed to launch alongside its upcoming Kaveri APU has been already detailed in the recent roadmap from AMD but a slide from ECS upcoming motherboard also revealed a key detail regarding the compatibility of the socket with previously released APUs.

For high-performance market

According to a report from Sweclockers site, AMD might be working on a slight refresh of its Vishera FX-Series based on Piledriver CPU architecture and could launch two new CPUs, the FX-9000 and the FX-8770.

Might be better, performance-price wise

During last week conference call, AMD has announced that it is also working on a Intel NUC-like 4" by 4" platform based on wide offer of Kabini APUs and some of them have already showed up at Computex show.

Launch in late 2013

Rumors spread about the specifications

According to the latest rumors from Chiphell.com, we might see AMD's Radeon HD 8000 desktop GPU series as soon as Q3 2013. The site even released some of the specifications that certainly raised an eyebrow or two and should be enough to compete with Nvidia's latest lineup.

Jaguar-based Opteron X1150 and X2150

AMD has unveiled and launched a new line of low-power processor aimed for use in the NAS and microserver scenarios, the new Opteron X-series. Formerly known under the Kyoto codename, the new Opteron X-series includes the X2150 quad-core APU as well the X1150 quad-core CPU.

Quite a deal with Microsoft
