AMD A10-6800K overclocked to 8GHz

Chip cooled down to -185°C

AMD's A10-6800K Richland APU might not be that much impressive when compared to previous Trinity chips but it looks like it will be quite famous with overclockers as Finnish overclocked The Stilt managed to get it all the way up to 8GHz.

The feat was achieved with liquid-nitrogen (LN2) cooling which kept the chip chilled down to -185°C. The voltage was set at 1.992V while base clock was at 126.99 with 63.0 BClk multiplier. Importantly, all four cores of the APU were enabled and it was done on Asus' F2A85-V Pro motherboard with 2x4GB of DDR3 memory running at 1692MHz (DDR).

We are quite sure that we will see more of these results now that it is clear that the AMD Richland is quite a beast when it comes to overclocking.
