AMD looking into Android and Chrome OS

Temash might be the one

According to a report over at CNET, AMD is indeed looking into Android and Chrome OS and has finally starting to take that part of the market a bit more seriously.

Unfortunately, AMD's spokesperson only noted that currently there is no commitment to Android yet but it is indeed looking into Android and Chrome OS. There is no support for announced and no specific processors mentioned for support. AMD recently announced the Temash APU which might be the perfect excuse for AMD to go into that part of the market.

With Intel joining up Android market with its Atom Z2560 that recently showed up in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, AMD will certainly have to eventually make its way down that road as Android is definitely a big part of the market. Judging by the recent analyst reports, Android might be even bigger as it takes more and more market share from the PC industry.
