Square Enix's Thief to be optimized for AMD Radeon
AMD grabs another publisher
AMD has announced an exclusive cooperation with Square Enix and its upcoming Thief game that will be optimized for the Graphics Core Next architecture on its Radeon graphics cards as well as APUs.
According to announced details, the upcoming Thief game will "extensively leverage" the advance capabilities of AMD Radeon GPUs, including AMD Eyefinity for multi-display panoramic gaming, AMD Crossfire for multi-GPU as well as state-of-the-art DirectX 11 rendering for impressive image quality.
AMD was quite pleased to work so closely to the development team from Square Enix in order to bring realize the vision for these game, according to Matt Skynner corporate vice president and general manager, Graphics Business Unit, AMD. Matt also noted that as an exclusive hardware partner for Thief game, AMD continues to demonstrate that the best experience for gamers and developers is AMD and its Gaming Evolved program.
Of course, this also means that we will probably see the Thief game as a part of some future AMD Never Settle bundle.
