X299 for the masses

During Computex 2017, Gigabyte has shown their first batch of X299 motherboards for Intel's Basin Falls platform. Meanwhile we have taken several pictures of the X299 AORUS Gaming 3 which should be one of the more competitively priced models from Gigabyte regarding Intel X299 chipset.



With silver color scheme

Gigabyte has finally revealed the X399 Designare EX motherboard, which they first presented during Computex 2017 a few months ago. This particular board comes with a whole bunch of features as well as an exceptionally good looking color scheme - at least that our opinion.


A compact GTX 1080

Gigabyte has announced another graphics card with smaller-than-usual dimensions. The Mini ITX 8G is just 17cm long, features a dual slot design and a single 90mm fan. Although the card comes with a tiny cooler, the Mini ITX 8G can still hit pretty high clock frequencies.


Juicy bundle from Gigabyte

Gigabyte has partnered with AMD to combine its GA-AX370-Gaming K7 motherboard with the Radeon RX Vega64. The bundle packs quite a lot of value combining a GA-AX370-Gaming K7 motherboard an AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and a Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics card. Together those components make for a seriously performing AMD gaming rig.


Another ATX model

During this years Computex, Gigabyte has shown their first batch of X299 motherboards for Intel's Basin Falls platform. So far Gigabyte has unveiled three ATX models which are all based on the same PCB. What differs is the color scheme, the audio solution and a few connectors. Meanwhile Gigabyte has started adding more models, which are still based on an ATX form factor. According to the first details, the upcoming X299 Aorus Gaming is supposed to mark the entry-level segment in the case of the X299 platform.


First Gigabyte X399 motherboard

During Capsaicin 2017, Gigabyte has shown an upcoming AMD X399 motherboard. The Aorus Gaming 7 is a high-end motherboard which features several PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots. Furthermore the motherboard sports a good amount of SATA-III ports and M.2 slots. In addition each M.2 slot comes with a M.2 heatsink.



First Gigabyte X399 motherboard

During Computex 2017, several manufacturers have shown their upcoming AMD X399 motherboards. Meanwhile Gigabyte is ready to present their upcoming Aorus Gaming 7 model. According to Videocardz, X399 preorders start today on Newegg, NCIX and Amazon. The motherboard might be bundled with a HyperX Cloud headset or $50 US Steam gift card.


Aims for higher profits

According to a report from DigiTimes, Gigabyte is planning to merge their graphics card and motherboard divisions into a single unit. Starting August 1st, the new department will be led by Eddie Lin, sales and marketing associate vice president of Gigabyte's Gaming Product Business Unit. The executives of each individual division will be reshuffled under Lin's leadership.


Available next week

Gigabyte already has a wide portfolio when it comes to graphics cards but that didn’t stop them from teasing yet another model. The new card is going to belong to the AORUS line again, and goes by the name "GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AORUS Waterforce Xtreme Edition".



Called Gigabyte AB350N-Gaming

Gigabyte has shown their first mini-ITX AMD AM4 300-series motherboard. Already a few months ago, during another event, Gigabyte presented details on its upcoming mini-ITX models, which are based on AMDs B350 chipset. Meanwhile, there are finally more details on the so called AB350N-Gaming WiFi.


16 DIMM slots

With the MZ30-AR0 Gigabyte introduced their first single-socket motherboard for AMDs EPYC processors, which will allow for building potent workstations mainly as well as servers with up to 32 cores and 64 threads. The board will feature AMD’s new SP3r2 LGA socket making you worry less about the possibility of bent pins.



Called Aorus GTX 1070 Gaming Box

External graphics card docks are not so common, yet there are many reasons why this could change. During this year’s Computex, Gigabyte has shown the Aorus GTX 1070 Gaming Box and it looks like one of the best solutions so far. The box not only comes pre-packed with an ITX-sized GTX 1070 it's also one of the smallest external GPU cases we’ve seen so far, which makes perfect sense keeping in mind that it’s most likely going to be combined with a notebook or a mini PC.

With liquid cooler

Gigabyte has introduced their new GTX 1080 Ti Waterforce Xtreme Edition and Aorus Waterforce XE graphics cards and both cards come with a liquid cooling block on the GPU. Including these two new graphics cards, Gigabyte has now eight different GTX 1080 Ti pixel accelerators in its portfolio.


With Gigabyte X299-SOC Champion motherboard

Although Kaby Lake-X has not yet been launched, another gem of a CPU has been found and overclocked by the Gigabyte OC Lab. During Computex 2017 the overclockers HiCookie, Sofos, Dinos22, Youngpro and SniperOZ were able to push a Core i7-7740K CPU to no less than 7.5GHz.

Intel's X299 platform is right around the corner and during the upcoming weeks we should see all the new models. Thanks to Videocardz, we can already have a glance at Gigabyte's X299 Aorus Gaming series of motherboards, coming with plenty of new features, a lot of LEDs and an insane number of M.2 slots.


Might be available with new motherboards

If these days you’d like to buy a really fast SSD you’re going to choose an M.2 drive. Those drives are not just fast some of them also struggle with overheating issues. Already a few months ago, MSI has introduced their M.2 shield which is supposed to help keeping the temperatures low. Meanwhile Gigabyte has come up with a similar heatsink which goes by the name M.2 Thermal Guard.

A user on Reddit has posted a few pictures of the new Gigabyte Aorus RX 580 XTR graphics card, which is - apparently - a refresh of the RX 480 graphics card. According to the pictures, the Gigabyte Aorus RX 580 XTR features a massive heatsink with a dense aluminum fin stack and several heatpipes.
