Gigabyte has shown their first mini-ITX AMD AM4 300-series motherboard. Already a few months ago, during another event, Gigabyte presented details on its upcoming mini-ITX models, which are based on AMDs B350 chipset. Meanwhile, there are finally more details on the so called AB350N-Gaming WiFi.
The AB350N-Gaming WiFi features a mini-ITX form factor with two DDR4 DIMM slots. On the storage side we find one M.2 slot, four straight SATA ports and two USB 3.1 Gen2 ports. Looking at expansion slots we find one PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 slot with metal reinforcement. In addition there is a Realtek Gigabit LAN chip as well as a 802.11ac WiFi module. Unlike other B350 motherboards, the AB350N-Gaming WiFi packs a Realtek ALC1220 codec.
The motherboard supports AMD's entire Ryzen lineup, including the 8-core Ryzen 7 1800X. According to Gigabyte, this motherboard will even support overclocking although at this time it’s unknown if this compact boards will limit the overclocking potential of Ryzen 7 CPUs. We are quite curious to see how a Ryzen high-end CPU will perform on this new motherboard since this is the first AMD B350 mini-ITX model from Gigabyte.
So far Gigabyte has not revealed details on pricing and availability on their AB350N-Gaming WiFi but we can expect to see this board hit store shelves relatively soon.
