A compact GTX 1080 TiShortly after Zotac has announced the GeForce GTX 1080 Mini, another GPU with smaller-than-usual dimensions is going to be shown. This card has been unveiled during this years Computex and according to Zotac this pixel accelerator is going to be available shortly.
As well as two reasonably sized onesSamsung has expanded its curved monitor lineup with three new monitors featuring a 49-inch, a 32-inch and a 27-inch panel. The first monitor is based on a rather unusual 3840 x 1080 resolution, while the two others feature WQHD 2560 x 1440 pixel. Furthermore each one of the displays supports AMD FreeSync 2 which allows to communicate with your PC to share colour space information, brightness values and not only the variable refresh rate informations.
Performance improvements for DiRT 4NVIDIA has released yet another updated driver. Meanwhile the version number is 382.53 and it brings performance improvements to DiRT 4 and Nex Machina. Furthermore this driver adds new SLI profiles for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, Little Nightmares, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Transformers Online.

4K HDR gaming to the massesDuring the E3 conference Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox One Xm, which is capable of 4K HDR gaming. The Xbox One X will be available on November 7th for 499 Euro and at the same time the Xbox One S gets a price reduction to 249 Euro. It looks like Microsoft will continue using an eight core AMD processor, which is most likely the same chip that’s already in the current Xbox One but clocked to a higher frequency.

First trailerDuring E3, Bandai Namco has released a trailer showing Project Cars 2 which will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Compared to the previous version, Slightly Mad Studios has improved various aspects, like dynamic weather, off-road dirt and snow racing. Furthermore it should be compatible with VR off the bat. According to the software house, the game will be released on September 22nd.
To be launched in Early 2018It looks like Intel is working hard lately. At the moment we are waiting for Kaby Lake-X and Skylake-X which should be released soon and after that Coffee lake seems to be knocking on the door already. According to Intel, Cannon Lake is on track and Ice Lake has taped in as well. Ice Lake will be the second generation of 10nm processors while Cannon Lake will be the first.
Completed in 2019Although we are all still waiting for PCI-Express 4.0 to become available, the PCI-SIG has announced that they are working on the development of PCI-Express 5.0 which is designed to offer 128GB/s of total bandwidth. In other words the total bandwidth would increase by a factor of four compared to the current PCIe 3.0 in the case of a x16 configuration.
Performance improvements in DiRT 4 and PreyFollowing the launch of AMD’s ReLive 17.5.1 drivers there is already a new update available. This release offers a 30% performance improvement in DiRT 4 with 8x MSAA enabled. Furthermore, these drivers are supposed to increase performance in Prey by 4% in combination with a Radeon RX 580. On top of that AMD has also fixed some issues related to Mass Effect: Andromeda.

During Computex 2017 the overclockers HiCookie, Sofos, Dinos22, Youngpro and SniperOZ were able to push a Core i7-7740K CPU to no less than 7.5GHz.
Breaks 5.5GHzDuring the last week there has been a lot going on in the overclock scene. Yesterday the Taiwanese overclocker Toppc has achieved a new world record using a G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 memory kit, which is based on Samsung 8Gb ICs. Furthermore an Intel X299 platform has been used in combination with one of the Intel's upcoming X-series CPUs.

Right before the Electronic Entertainment ExpoHP has announced a refresh of its Omen gaming lineup including new laptops, desktops, external graphics docks as well as peripherals. The new desktop family includes an Omen X and an Omen gaming PCs. While the first one features a compact, almost small form factor design, the second one looks more traditional.
