Following the launch of Intel's X299 chipset, EKWB has released a new monoblock for the MSI X299 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard. This is one of the first X299 monoblocks available and it will add water cooling to both the CPU and the VRM, thanks to a huge single water block. The EK-FB MSI X299 GAMING PRO CARBON RGB Monoblock is compatible with MSI Mystic Light, which will allow you to create great looking setups thanks to customizable lighting.

New retention kit needed as well

It looks like AMD and Intel are competing head to head with high-end desktop platforms lately. According to Hermitage Akihabara, AMD will launch Threadripper August 10th in Japan and it will be released with an AIO liquid cooler in the bundle.



Kaby Lake-R CPUs for ultrabooks?

Although the acclaimed launch date will be somewhen during the upcoming weeks news leaks related to Kaby Lake-R are starting to make it through. This time Laptopmedia found yet another leak in the Geekbench database. Like the current U-series, the upcoming Core i5-8250U should be a 15W dual core part with Hyperthreading.




240Hz and 1ms

BenQ Zowie already has a wide portfolio of displays and with the XL2546 the vendor is launching yet another FullHD model. The 24.5-inch panel supports 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution 240 Hz refresh rate, which makes this particular display relevant for playing fast first person shooters.



RMA fraud

RMA fraud is no unknown thing when it comes to large retailers such as Amazon. Occasionally it happens that someone purchases a product and then returns/RMA's it with a different product inside the same box. This is actually surprisingly common when you are purchasing a graphics card or even a processor.


Four six core processors

Judging by the sheer number of rumors, that are surfacing these days regarding the upcoming Intel mainstream desktop processors, we’re closing in on the launch of these new parts. This time it’s again CPCHardware leaking information including clock speeds, TDPs and core counts.

During Computex 2017, ASUS has unveiled several upcoming motherboards and they’re all starting to hit the market. This time ASUS introduces the ROG Rampage VI Apex, it features an E-ATX form factor with several PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and M.2 slots.

ViewSonic already has a vast portfolio of displays and with the XG2530 the vendor is launching yet another full HD model. Better performance than predecessor

During E3, Namco Bandai has released a trailer showcasing Project Cars 2 which is going to become available September 22 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. According to the users who have early access to the game, Project Cars 2 hits 80 to 90 fps at 4K with a NVIDIA Titan X Pascal even if features like rain as well as day and night cycle are enabled.


With USB Type-C and KVM switch

Dell has expanded its UltraSharp series with a 27-inch model that features and 3840 x 2160 UHD resolution. Furthermore the monitor comes with a KVM switch and an USB Type-C port. According to Dell the display covers 99 percent of the Adobe RGB and sRGB color spectrum and a few other color standards.


Compatible with AMD Ryzen

GEIL is finally bringing RGB lighting to their EVO X memory lineup. Memory modules were some of the very last components allowing for RGB lighting, since it can be quite tricky to control the color over the SMBus. However GEIL on this memory uses 4-pin RGB connector, in other words you have to wire your memory to the motherboard.


An entry-level drive

PNY has shown their CS1311 SSDs series, which are based on TLC-NAND Flash memory. Their CS1311 line offers a units based on Phisons S11 controller, which is an updated version of the Phison S10, whereas the older version could be found in the PNY CS2211 drives. All the CS1311 SSDs come with a 2.5 inch package.

The fastest 1080 Ti?

It was simply a matter of time until EVGA would launch their GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N Edition. These cards are usually as fast as it gets and therefore the absolute flagship that can be bought. Already a few weeks ago, Vince "K|NGP|N" Lucido uploaded a few 3DMark scores in order to show some numbers. Today the card has been pushed even further.



Two entry-level quad cores

According to a leak from a reddit user, AMD's upcoming Ryzen 3 CPUs might be released July 27th. At the moment there isn't any precise information, but according to the latest rumors Ryzen 3 1300X will cost $129 US and Ryzen 3 1200 will be available for $109 US. The reddit post, which is where the rumor first surfaced, is unconfirmed, but the prices appear to be yet very interesting.

The most powerful graphics cards from MSI

MSI has added two GeForce GTX 1080 Ti with custom design to their portfolio. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z and X are the new flagship models, when it comes to pixel accelerators from MSI. Both models have been created for performance and extreme cooling enthusiasts, being equipped with a triple-fan cooler. Apart from that there is a new lighting system which allows you to change the color of the LEDs. In other words, the Lightning graphics cards are not black and yellow anymore. The two models are almost identical, the only difference is a small bump in clock speeds.


Prices and clock speeds revealed as well

AMD has officially announced their new Ryzen Threadripper series of processors. This new series of CPUs will come with more cores than their Ryzen 7 chips and it’s going to be based on a AMD’s very own HEDT platform. According to AMD, Threadripper 1950X and 1920X are set to release in August.
