A few days ago AMD announced their Ryzen Threadripper series processors including three new HEDT chips and they all come with a highly competitive price tag. When it comes to benchmarks we’ve only seen numbers in multi-threaded ones so far but it looks like LinusTechTips now had a more in-depth look at the chip’s performance.

One of the most interesting features about AMD’s X399 platform is the fact that there are 64 PCIe lanes. While 4 lanes are dedicated to the chipset, the other 60 lanes are for PCIe devices such as graphics cards, a sound card and NVMe SSDs. According to the latest rumors, AMD’s Threadripper platform is not going to allow for NVMe RAID configurations. Although for some this feature might be important, we don't think is a big loss.

BenQ has added another monitor with a 35-inch panel, 3440 x 1440 resolution and 1800R curvature to its lineup. The display comes with an AMVA panel from AU Optronics and it’s supposed to be HDR compatible. According to pcmonitors.info, the panel can be set up to 100Hz refresh rate.

A few weeks ago, Acer announced to be soon expand its monitor lineup with another UHD/4K model, featuring a 27-inch IPS panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution. Meanwhile Acer has crawled back, announcing that their Predator X27 4K HDR monitor is going to be be delayed until the first quarter of next year.

Following the launch of Intel's X299 chipset, EKWB has released a new monoblock for the ASUS ROG Strix X299-E Gaming motherboard. This is one of the first X299 monoblocks available and it will add water cooling to both the CPU and the VRM, thanks to a huge single water block. The EK-FB ASUS Strix X299-E RGB Monoblock is compatible with ASUS Aura Sync, which will allow you to create great looking setups thanks to customizable lighting.

During Computex 2017, ASUS has unveiled several upcoming motherboards and they’re all starting to hit the market. This time ASUS introduces the ROG Rampage VI Apex, it features an E-ATX form factor with several PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and M.2 slots. The motherboard is finally available and listed also on Geizhals.

The Chinese hardware site PCEva is spreading the rumor that Intel's lineup might become even more confusing during the upcoming moths. Intel's next generation Coffee Lake CPUs won’t work with existing socket LGA1151 motherboards despite the fact that they’re sharing the same socket.

A few weeks ago we reviewed the Corsair One and we were impressed by the size, thermal performance and speed of this little gaming PC but one of the things we were really wishing for was a config with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. Corsair is finally at the point where they launched such a SKU and they’ve combined it with their own NVMe SSD.

A few days ago, AMD has officially announced their Ryzen Threadripper processors. This new series of CPUs will come with more cores than their Ryzen 7 parts and it's based on the new AMD X399 HEDT platform. The lineup includes three SKUs with up to 16-cores and 32-threads.

Although the acclaimed launch date of Coffee Lake based CPUs will be somewhen during the upcoming weeks news leaks are starting to make it through on a very frequent basis. This time Videocardz is jumping the gun again posting up a screenshot showcasing an Intel Core i3 processor called i3-8300 with four cores and eight threads. This could be the first quad-core Core i3 from Intel. However we believe that the microcode could be just wrong or not updated.

It looks like Intel is going to release their upcoming flagship Core i9-7980XE in few months. According to the latest rumors, the Core i9-7980XE features 18 cores and 36 threads, and it might be combined with 24.75 MB of L3 cache. The base clock is set to 2.60GHz which is a pretty significant step down from the Core i9-7900X's 3.3GHz.

EK Water Blocks has announced a new full-cover block for AMD’s Radeon RX Vega graphics cards. The block is compatible with the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition pixel accelerators. To be a bit more precise, a full-cover block has been developped fitting the Radeon RX Vega 64 and the Vega 56. As always the water block is available in different versions. According to EKWB, all the upcoming water blocks should become available next week.

As you might be aware of the AMD RX Vega 56 is a cut down version of the flagship Vega 64. The difference between the two cards is the number of next-generation compute units (NGCUs). While the RX Vega 64 comes with 64 units enabled the RX Vega 56 features 56 enabled units. In the end this means the RX Vega 56 processes pixels using 3584 Stream processors, 192 TMUs and 64 ROPs, while the RX Vega 64 makes do with 4096 Stream processors, 256 TMUs and 64 ROPs.

K|ngp|n has had another go with his new K|ngp|n Edition GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards and this time he’s been demolishing the former record in 3DMark Vantage single card. Thanks to a rather substantial overclock on the GPU as well as a very nicely overclocked Intel Core i9 7900X he’s been able to put quite some distance between him and der8auer, who’s currently holding 2nd place.

When NVIDIA launched their GTX 10XX series graphics cards the company announced that they’ve cancelled the 3- and 4-way SLI support from their drivers only continuing developments on 2-way SLI. Listening in closer to what AMD was talking about during the launch of their RX Vega cards - or actually what they didn’t talk about - it seems like AMD could also remove 3- and 4-way support from future drivers.
