K|ngp|n breaks 3DMark Vantage record - again

With NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Kingpin Edition

K|ngp|n has had another go with his new K|ngp|n Edition GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards and this time he’s been demolishing the former record in 3DMark Vantage single card. Thanks to a rather substantial overclock on the GPU as well as a very nicely overclocked Intel Core i9 7900X he’s been able to put quite some distance between him and der8auer, who’s currently holding 2nd place.

The latest record from K|ngp|n happened on a Intel X299 platform using an EVGA X299 Dark motherboard, an Intel Core i9 7900X processor and G.Skill memory. The CPU has been overclocked to a whopping 6.000 GHz, while the GPU was running at a massive 2590 MHz. Compared to stock clocks that’s a 75% overclock on the GPU.

To make the whole setup run through the benchmark CPU and GPU receive liquid nitrogen cooling. Apparently K|ngp|n has been using his own equipment for that purpose such as his TEK-9 container for the GPU.

We congratulate Vince “K|ngp|n” Lucido to this awesome new score and we’re hoping to soon come up with competitive scores as well.
