Oculus rift reduced in price as well

So far experiencing VR is still a rather costly venture. First of all a capable gaming PC is required and secondly you need the VR gear to actually enjoy it. Therefore, after already having spent 2000 to 2500 Euro/USD on a gaming machine the investment of another 899 Euro was necessary for HTC’s Vive VR headset.

We’re very much looking forward

During a video broadcast Intel placed some very subtle hints as to when the the six core and twelve thread Coffee Lake are due for release. On a picture we can see a coffee cup with “10 2017” printed on it which most likely implies the month when it’s time for a “coffee break”.

Sounds like a juicy deal with potential

Corsair has announced that from now on they’re the exclusive supplier of memory in the case of Lenovo’s upcoming gaming PCs. The first Lenovo gaming PC that is going to be equipped with Corsair memory will be the Legion Y920. Becoming partner of Lenovo on such a level is certainly a volume deal.

Added support and issues fixed

AMD today released the latest update to their Radeon GPU drivers, the Crimson ReLive Edition 17.8.1. This is the first driver supporting Vega 56 and 64 that comes with a WHQL signature. As usual these drivers are supposed to help increase performance and efficiency of AMD cards.

Cryptocurrency mining is having a weird effect

Over the past 15 years that I’ve been running ocaholic I’ve come across quite a few weird products but a board with 20 - I repeat twenty - expansion slots that is definitely very high up on that list, if not at the very top. Well what to say but that’s exactly what ASUS has come up with.

Breathtaking - once again

I have to admit, I am a fan of the - soon to be - Project Cars franchise. Therefore it doesn’t come as a surprise that we usually cover new announcements on this game. Bandai Namoco has released their first Gamescom trailer on Project Cars 2, showing off the immense level of detail this title has to offer at UHD resolution.

New, meets new

Raven Ridge is the codename of AMD’s upcoming APUs, which are supposed to combine a “Zen” CCX unit and up to 12 “Vega” NGCUs, which together offer 768 stream processors. This information leaked due to OpenCL tables and they also “confirm” that all Raven Ridge APUs will feature Vega-based CUs.

Coffee for the win

Intel might soon be officially introducing their Coffee Lake chips but for the time being we have to still do with what information we can find out there in the web. Since there are plenty of leaks making it through on a rather regular basis that is actually not the hardest of tasks to accomplish. Meanwhile information on upcoming mobile - U-series - parts has made it through and which we’re about to share with you here.

Including factory OC

It appears that ASUS is soon going to launch make their STRIX version Radeon RX Vega series graphics cards available world wide. For the beginning the company will launch a ROG-STRIX-RXVEGA64-O8G-GAMING model. The most important part in the model number is the acronym “O8G”, where the “O” stands for overclocked.

For RAID card

If these days you want to buy a fast SSD you’re most likely going to choose a drive with M.2 form factor. Those drives are really fast but unfortunately some of them also struggle with overheating issues. A few months ago, Alphacool introduced its M.2 heatsinks which are supposed to help keeping the temperatures of your M.2 SSD low. Meanwhile they’ve added yet another cooler to their lineup, which goes by the name Eisblock HDX-5.

For Aorus Gaming series and UD4

Following the launch of Intel’s socket X299, EKWB has released a new monoblock for five Gigabyte motherboards: the X299 Aorus Gaming 3, the X299 Aorus Gaming 7, the X299 Aorus Gaming 9, the X299 Aorus Ultra Gaming and the X299 UD4. This is the first X299 monoblock available and it will apparently add water cooling to both the CPU and the VRM, thanks to a huge single water block. The EK-FB GA X299 Gaming RGB Monoblock is compatible with Gigabyte’s RGB Fusion, which will allow you to create neat looking setups thanks to customizable lighting.

New leak from ChipHell

The number of rumors regarding Coffee Lake that are making it through these days is quite impressive. It’s not been long ago that we’ve last written about alleged clock speeds of Intel’s upcoming 6-core mainstream processors but already today there is new information on the entire upcoming lineup.

Meshify C, Define C TG, Celsius S24

Today we can announce another contest with juicy prices thanks to Fractal Design. The winner will be drawn randomly from the comments here as well as on Facebook. Apart from that likes and shares would make us happy.

Soon another record?

A few days ago, Intel has released a new series of HEDT processors. Meanwhile K|ngp|n is testing the new flagship Intel Core i9-7960X on 3DMark Vantage. Thanks to a rather substantial overclock on the CPU as well as very nicely overclocked memory he’s been able to hit more than 126K points regarding the CPU score. We wouldn’t be surprised if rather sooner than later a new record would be incoming from the master of 3DMark benchmarks himself.
