AMD releases Crimson ReLive 17.8.1 drivers

Added support and issues fixed

AMD today released the latest update to their Radeon GPU drivers, the Crimson ReLive Edition 17.8.1. This is the first driver supporting Vega 56 and 64 that comes with a WHQL signature. As usual these drivers are supposed to help increase performance and efficiency of AMD cards.


The latest version of the Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.8.1 drivers, fixe a bunch of issues that were present with version 17.7.1 and apart from that new games are supported as well. In this case Quake Champions Early Access as well as Agents Mayhem are now on that support list. When it comes to issues AMD mentions a in the release notes that a total of eight have been fixed. Most importantly Grand Theft Auto V is now not suppose to suffer from intermittent application anymore and furthermore there shouldn’t be any crashes in Tekken 7 Chapter 13 when using Radeon RX 380 Series graphics cards.

AMD has also dealt with issues related to FreeSync. In one instance there were stuttering problems present when watching videos and in other cases flickering was experienced in combination with a few Samsung FreeSync enabled displays.
