EKWB unveils PWM variant of EK-DCP 4.0 water pump

Allows control via motherboard or fan controller

EK Water Blocks has announced the new version of its EK-DCP 4.0 water pump which will bring the power management control. The new variant of the EK-DCP 4.0 water pump will allow pulse width modulation (PWM) control of the rotation speed via motherboard BIOS or dedicated fan controller.

The EK-DCP 4.0 PWM pump is aimed at enthusiast water cooling system and compatible with all standard water cooling system setups, can be easily integrated with existing water blocks and offer up to 800L/hour of maximum flow. With rated voltage of 12V DC, 18W of power consumption, maximum pressure head of 4.0m and maximum flow of 800L/h, the EK-DCP 4.0 PWM pump, according to EK Water Blocks, has a compact, powerful and low-noise design.

The pump draws power from 4-pin Molex and 4-pin PWM fan connector, has an MTBF of 50,000 hours and with PWM support allows automatic pump speed regulation depending on the CPU temperature. The new pump is also compatible with the EK-DCP 4.0 X-RES pump reservoir combo unit.

The price is set at €47,95 for the pump itself while the EK-DCP 4.0 X-RES sells for €89,41.
