While Max Payne 3 started the trend of insanely high HDD space requirements with 35GB, followed by 40GB for the Call of Duty: Ghosts, it appears that Titanfall for PC will top that all off with 48GB.
According to released PC requirements and the Twitter post by Reespawn Entertainment's Vince Zampella, the Titanfall for PC will be a 21GB download and 48GB installation game. The HDDs are quite cheap these days and this should not be a problem for most gamers but those running their games from a not-so-cheap SSD might have to work in order to get that amount of free space.
The rest of the Titanfall requirements include 64-bit Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 OS, AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz CPU, 4GB of RAM and at least 512MB VRAM Radeon HD 4770 or Geforce 8800GT graphics card.
Titanfall got some great scores for its beta version and we have no doubt it will be a big win but at 48GB, it certainly should.
