During its Montreal event Nvidia's CEO Jen Hsun Huang noted in an interview for Engadget.com that company is indeed working on Shield 2 console and that he would definitely like it to be powered by Tegra 5 Logan chip.

While it probably did not get the attention of consumers that Nvidia hoped it will, Nvidia's hand-held console, the Shield, is definitely an interesting move by Nvidia and it really does not come as a surprise that Nvidia will be focused on the sucessor that will, at least according to Nvidia's CEO wishes, most likely end up powered by Nvidia's next-gen Tegra 5 Logan chip.

Based on Kepler graphics, the Tegra 5 will definitely be much better suited for the Shield console and Nvidia certainly believes in Android as the most interesting operating system and predicts that it will be everywhere, including cards, TVs and even computers. Of course, we are still to see some impressive move in Android gaming as no matter how popular Angry Birds are, gaming on Android is still far away from consoles and computers.

According to Jen Hsun Huang, Nvidia aims to do for Android what Geforce did of PCs and we are pretty sure it will get to that point eventually, especially if Nvidia is backing it up. Jen Hsun Huang noted that "“It would bring me great joy if Shield was the first customer for Logan.”
