Samsung announces first curved UHD TVs at IFA 2013

55- and 65-inches of curved beauty

Although it did show its curved OLED UHD TV earlier before IFA 2013 opened its doors, Samsung has also brought both the 55-inch and the 65-inch curved UHD LED TVs to IFA 2013 showfloor, showing off the 4K resolution on a curved LED panel.

While currently only available in 55- and 65-inch sizes, Samsung did note that differently-sized curved UHD TVs will come at a later date, since that is the response they got from customers. According to a couple of first impressions, Samsung's curved UHD TV sets not only dazzle with their impressive 4K resolution but also offer exceptionally vibrant color reproduction. The design is sleek and although it takes up a bit more room than the razor-thin flat panels, the curved surface does have its advantages.

While 55-inch OLED KE55S9C TV will hit Germany with €7999 and Switzerland with CHF 9'999 price tags, Samsung is yet to unveil the price or the shipping date for its curved LED 55-inch and 65-inch models.
