During CES 2018, Gigabyte has shown an upcoming AM4 X470 motherboards. The upcoming AMD X470 chipset will support out of the box the second generation Ryzen "Pinnacle Ridge" and Ryzen "Raven Ridge" APUs, in addition to current-gen Ryzen chips.
Judging by the screw holes this is an ATX form factor based motherboard. The color scheme is the same we can find on X370 based models from Gigabyte, which in this case is a black PCB with dark silver heatsink and there is a big black I/O cover. Furthermore there are several RGB LEDs which allow to change the color of your motherboard.
There are three steel reinforced PCIe Gen 3.0 slots and between the first and the second full-sized PCIe slot there are two slots distance providing plenty of space for graphics cards to breathe in the case of multi-GPU setups. Furthermore there are two M.2 slots covered with a black heat sink. In addition there are six SATA ports.
Since this is a model also overclockers could have a look at, there are onboard buttons and a debug display. Going a step further, it should packs a Killer LAN E2500 chip, Gigabyte's AMP-UP Audio solution and the so called Fusion RGB lighting, which can be controlled from within Windows.
According to a leak from Videocardz, Gigabyte might release two more ATX models right after the NDA. While the Aorus X470 Gaming 7 might cost 287 Dollar, the Aorus X470 Gaming 5 should be around 200 Dollar and the Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming should be sub-200 Dollar. The NDA date will expire next 15th April, we will see more details in less than a couple of weeks.
