According to a leak that has been published on Videocardz, MSI is ready to launch two version of the X470 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard with and without onboard WiFi AC module. Like the previous model, the upcoming X470 Gaming Pro Carbon will offer an ATX motherboard that sports a lot of features.
The X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is based on an ATX form factor, yet this time MSI is using all the space available on the PCB. Since this motherboard belongs to the Gaming series, there is RGB backlight underneath each heat sink and several LEDs. Furthermore there are three PCIe slots and only two of them have been reinforced with steel. In general the layout is quite simple and similar to the previous model.
Storage wise, there are six SATA-III ports, two M.2 slots compatible with 22110 and 2280 units. Since there isn't any additional picture or information, we are rather curious to see what kind of ports MSI has placed on the I/O panel.
The design has been improved as well, now the Gaming Pro Carbon for AMD CPUs looks very similar to the one available for Intel CPUs. Last but not least, MSI has placed two 8-pin EPS power connectors for the processor. During the next weeks we expect to see more MSI X470 motherboards as well. The X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is based on an ATX form factor, yet this time MSI is using all the space available on the PCB.
