High-end gaming Z270 motherboard
Pictures of ASRock's upcoming Fatal1ty branded Z270 motherboard have come up online, showing what to expect from a gaming series based on this upcoming Intel chipset.
Based on a popular red and black color scheme, the ASRock Fatal1ty Z270 K6 draws power from a 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors has three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and four DDR4 DIMM slots.
It also comes with a total of eight SATA 6Gbps and two M.2 slots, as well as some high-end gaming-oriented features like dual Gigabit Ethernet and Creative Sound Blaster Cinema 3 audio. It also has a couple of USB 3.1 ports (type-A and type-C), standard display outputs and more.
The back I/O shield also comes with holes for WiFi antennas, in case you want to add it, and PCIe 3.0 x16 slots are armored for extra rigidity.
Intel still did not officially announce its Kaby Lake desktop CPUs and 200-series motherboard but with all these leaks, we suspect that the launch is not far away.
