A Swedish gaming notebook manufacturer IVY has jumped the gun and listed Geforce GTX 1080M as an option in its new IVY Gaming 17P notebook.
While it did not reveal any more details regarding the actual specifications of the GTX 1080M, other than it will come with 8GB of GDDR5 memory, rather than GDDR5X, this still pretty much confirms that the new Nvidia Pascal-based mobile GPU lineup will be coming sometime next month.
The manufacturer notes that those who pre-order the new IVY Gaming 17P notebook with GTX 1080M should get their own on July 29th, so that is in line with earlier reports.
Earlier rumors suggested that the GTX 1080M is actually faster than GTX Titan X, which does not come as a surprise considering it should be based on the GP104 GPU, same one behind the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 desktop graphics cards.
The new Nvidia mobile lineup should bring significant improvements to mobile gaming so hopefully we will hear more about it soon.
