Colorful jumps the gun with Intel Z170 motherboard

During its media event

While we are still far away from an official launch of Intel Skylake-S desktop CPUs and Intel 100-series chipset motherboards, Colorful has decided to jump the gun and show its new Intel Z170-based motherboard during a media event.

While most Intel 100-series motherboards are expected to show up at Computex 2015 show in June, Colorful decided to jump the gun and show its new Intel Z170-based iGame Skylake motherboard.

Featuring an aggressive design with I/O and audio shield as well as a red/white on black or red on black color schemes, the new iGame Skylake motherboard will pack all the usual high-end features 14-phase VRM, Nichicon Audio capacitors, Killer E2201 and Intel I211-AT dual NIC, three PCI-Express slots, PCIe M.2 slot, six SATA 6Gbps ports, two SATA Express ports, plenty of USB 3.1/3.0 ports, and both DDR4/DDR3L memory support.

While it is nice to see that Colorful has jumped the gun we are quite sure that we will soon see plenty of other motherboards from the rest of the usual suspects.
