ASUS has unveiled and announced the new USB 3.0 HZ-2 Docking Station which is designed for both desktop and notebook users and allow them to connect up to ten devices or accessories through a single USB cable.
The ASUS HZ-2 Docking Station comes with all needed drivers and firmware which makes it compatible with both the latest Windows 8.1 as well as earlier versions and is also backward-compatible with USB 2.0 PCs.
In addition to allowing users to connect up to ten devices or accessories via a single USB cable, the ASUS HZ-2 also features an HDMI port with VGA adapter supporting resolutions of up to 2048x1152 and thanks to its integrated video processor allows users to get two additional external displays via video output ports found on the notebook and the dock. It also features 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet Port for network access, two USB 3.0 ports, three USB 2.0 ports and audio input/output ports.
The ASUS HZ-2 comes with an universal charger which helps to power all devices connected to it as well as offers a fast-charge port providing 1.5A at 7.5W output current.
The entire ASUS HZ-2 Docking Station measures 33.5 x 6.5 x 2.4 cm and weighs just 280g which allows it to be transported with notebook quite easily. It also features an adjustable stand to support notebooks at an ergonomic typing angle, whilst at the same time improving airflow underneath the device for better heat dissipation and packs a Kensington Lock slot for security.
Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal any details regarding the actual release date or the price of the new ASUS USB 3.0 HZ-2 Docking Station.
