In our hardware roundup we post all reviews from the hardware sites around the globe we can find. Apparently we wish you a lot of fun browsing the lists and we hope you're going to enjoy those reviews.

Featuring AMD iGP

We already have heard rumors about AMD licensing their Radeon integrated graphics chips to Intel for further use in their processors. Now new rumors are emerging that an unannounced Intel Kaby Lake-G series chip might feature such an AMD iGP in the shape of a multi chip module sitting on a single PCB.

Available later this month

It looks like the AMD Radeon RX 500 series SKUs, such as the RX 580, RX 570, and RX 550, will become available later this month. According to the latest rumor from Videocardz, a few popular online stores listed various models from ASUS and Sapphire. While at the moment these cards are overpriced due the pre-launch orders, they should be just re-brands of the RX 480, RX 470, and RX 460, with slightly higher reference clock speeds and improved efficiency and therefore the price will drop already at launch.

Two new cooling blocks

It looks like it’s becoming one of those neverending topics whether it makes sense to actively cool your M.2 SSD or not. Nonetheless, Aqua Computer has decided to offer a cooling block for your precious M.2 SSD to potentially help increasing performance by keeping the drive from throttling.

Both cards to be available soon

During the last GDC, NVIDIA announced the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and also the upcoming release of faster GTX 1060 and 1080 graphics cards. According to them, companies like MSI, Gigabyte or ASUS can create variations of the GeForce GTX 1060 and GTX 1080 with faster memory than the reference design.

Already available

With the 5N2 Drobo presents the successor of their 5N NAS, which we’ve reviewed almost a year ago. Compared to the predecessor there are for instance two Gigabit Ethernet ports and there is also a quicker processor as well as an internal backup battery.

Milo Majlow Lihotan

Today we have a new build from Milo Majlow Lihotan for you. Milo is a new modder from Slovak and this is its first mod that we share in our Rig of the day. This mod features a total weight of 10Kg and a maximun noise of 2dB.

First preview available in June

While most people are still switching from a DDR3 to a DDR4 platform, JEDEC consortium is already working on the next standard. Considering that 2014 DDR4 has been introduced on Intel's X99 platform, the standard was first revealed in 2008. Therefore it’s about time that JEDEC announced that they are working on DDR5 (Double Data Rate 5) and NVDIMM-P Design standards moving forward.

Water cooling and air cooling at same time

ASUS has unveiled their ROG GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Poseidon graphics card, which is - apparently - based on the new flagship chip from NVIDIA. Like the previous model it features a water cooling block as well as a heatsink with a dense aluminum fin stack and several heatpipes.

With hybrid liquid cooler

MSI has introduced their new GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk X and Sea Hawk graphics cards and both cards come with a liquid cooling block on the GPU and active cooling for the VRM. Including these two new graphics cards, MSI has now eight different GTX 1080 Ti pixel accelerators in its portfolio.

X370 for the masses

The X370 Gaming Pro Carbon from MSI is a mid-range motherboard that comes with a few interesting features. Compared to X370 XPower Gaming Titanium, this Gaming Pro Carbon AC is a cheaper sub-200 euro board, that still packs a lot of features. At a first glance the X370 Gaming Pro Carbon AC looks very similar to the Intel Z270 chipset.

GGF Lan Party

Today we have another build from GGF Lan Party for you. In the past we’ve shared several of their builds and as you might know they always look exceptionally good.

Only in 1080p

AMD has had quite a lot of success with its Ryzen 7 processors but the gaming performance, when graphics cards aren’t bottlenecking, was weaker than expected. Earlier this month, AMD explained that this was simply due to the way games are optimised. Ashes of the Singularity is one of the first games that has received a patch to increase the performance in combination with Ryzen processors and the results are impressive.

Featuring 3D NAND memory

ADATA has shown their new Ultimate SU700 series of SSDs which all use 3D NAND to offer enhanced performance when compared to SSDs powered by standard Planar NAND. With the Ultimate SU700 series ADATA offers a unit based on a Maxiotek controller. All the new drives features a 2.5 inch package.

With new BIOS update

Intel Optane Memory devices are now compatible with ASUS 200-series motherboards. In the beginning we will only see 16GB or 32GB M.2 caching devices. This new memory type can be used to speed up both SSDs and HDDs. Although it will be only compatible with desktop systems, we might soon find such caching devices in notebooks and mid-range PCs as well.

Improving on memory compatibility

It looks like AMD is going to release more AGESA Microcode updates for their Ryzen CPUs. One thing they’re addressing is memory latency and they might be able to reduce it by 6ns. Apart from that AMD is going to fix the FMA3 workload bug and the "overclock sleep bug". The new code should be available very soon in the shape of UEFI/BIOS files for AM4 motherboards.

First pictures

Over the past few weeks, we have been hearing more and more about AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 500 series graphics cards. These new graphics cards should be a refresh of the Polaris lineup with higher clock frequencies and improved energy efficiency. In the meantime the leaks continue with images of the RX 570 and RX 580.

Thai Song Dan

Today we have another build from Tran Tan Dat for you. In the past we’ve shared several of his builds and as you might know they always look exceptionally good. Since we don't know what there is under the hood you will not find any specification.

With Game Mode

The Microsoft Creators Update is one of the latest major updates for Windows 10 and it will be launching on April 11th according to a post over on the Windows blog. This confirms the early rumors which mentioned that this update in would be rolled out in "early April".
