Performance improvements for Rise Up and Lawbreakers
Following the launch of Rise Up and the open-beta of Lawbreakers, Nvidia releases a new driver supporting both these new titles. Meanwhile we’re at version 384.76 regarding NVIDIA’s WHQL drivers. Apart from game support some bugs have been addressed as well.
Performance comparable to Intel Core i5-3570K
According to leaks in the SiSoft Sandra and PassMark databases, there are, what appear to be, the first benchmarks on the upcoming AMD Ryzen 3 CPUs which should become available during the upcoming months. As reported on Wccftech, the CPU tested appears to be a Ryzen 3 1200.
Six new models
AMD has announced that their Ryzen PRO CPUs will arrive by the beginning of next year. With the Ryzen PRO series, AMD offers processors with hardware-based cryptography and security technologies in order to help preparing systems against possible threats. According to AMD, the new Ryzen PRO series delivers up to 52% improved compute capability and up to 62% higher multi-threaded performance.

A smaller version of the 303
A few weeks ago, during Computex 2017, In Win has shown an early prototype of their 101 case. Meanwhile the case has been spotted on the official site and it is already listed on Geizhals for 70 Euro. According to the first images, the new In Win 101 looks quite similar to its bigger brother, the 303, which is compatible with ATX motherboards.
The chipset for Coffee Lake
According to latest rumors, Intel is planning to release their new Coffee Lake series of CPUs alongside the Z370 chipset in Q4 2017. Although the acclaimed launch date will be somewhen between October and December time frame, news leaks related to Coffee Lake are making it through almost every day now.

AMD’s Frontier Edition graphics card has been spotted in the Futuremark database, showcasing performance that is similar to the NVIDIA GTX 1080, which would mean that the new AMD flagship graphics card won’t be capable of competing with NVIDIA’s very top range models. However, the results posted in the Futuremark database show some unapproved AMD beta driver. All the scores have been gathered in combination with an Intel Core i7-4790K processor.
Gets way too hot
The German overclocker Roman Hartung aka der8auer has put his hands on Intel’s X299 platform. According to the video uploaded on his Youtube channel, most of the motherboards around have poor MOSFETs/VRM heatsinks. Overclocking a CPU up to 4.6GHz he has been hitting dangerously high VRM temperatures.
Finally available but only in Asia
Alienware has expanded its monitor lineup with another model, featuring a 25-inch VA panel with 1920 x 1080 FullHD resolution. The grey-to-grey response time is 1ms and the refresh rate 240Hz. Apart from that this monitor will be available with either Nvidia G-Sync (AW2518H) or AMD FreeSync, (AW2518HF) support built-in. According to the latest rumors, the AW2518H is already available in Asia for 49'800 Yen which is roughly $399 US or 399 Euro.
24.5-inch and 27-inch version
It appears that displays with very high refresh rates and FullHD resolution are trendy these days, since they’re an actual improvement to fps gamers. Acer has yet another such display in its portfolio, which goes by the name Predator XB2 and offers 240Hz refresh rate.

Higher than expected
Our friends over at ComputerBase have mentioned the prices of the the Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards from AMD. These new cards are undoubtedly amongst the most anticipated products this year and AMD appears to have prepared an air cooled as well as a water cooled version.
The first one to be based on the new chips
Intel has launched their 545s SSD which use 64-layer 3D NAND to offer further increased storage density compared to SSDs powered by standard Planar NAND. With the 545s, Intel offers a unit based on a Silicon Motion SM2258 controller. At this moment the 545s is only available with 512GB capacity, but models ranging from 128GB up to 2 TB can be expected.
Called Gigabyte AB350N-Gaming
Gigabyte has shown their first mini-ITX AMD AM4 300-series motherboard. Already a few months ago, during another event, Gigabyte presented details on its upcoming mini-ITX models, which are based on AMDs B350 chipset. Meanwhile, there are finally more details on the so called AB350N-Gaming WiFi.
Just a little refresh
A few months ago, Thermaltake announced their Core V71 case. Now the company is presenting a little update on this model, which means they’ve added tempered glass side panels to it. The Core V71 is a full-tower chassis that’s been made from SECC steel, ABS plastic and tempered glass.
Here comes the bummer: in compute benches
PCWorld apparently had the chance to come up with a preview on the upcoming AMD Radeon Pro Vega Frontier Edition graphics card. In a rather lengthy article they’ve described their experiences regarding the two pre-built systems by AMD they were allowed to fiddle with. It looks like the Pro Vega Frontier Edition is a strong performer when it comes to compute heavy benchmarks yet it also packs a punch dealing with recent games.
Based on ATX form factor
The ASUS ROG Strix X299-E Gaming is another Intel X299 motherboard that should help filling gaps in the ASUS X299 lineup. So far there are five X299 motherboards from ASUS, which are the Prime X299-A, the Prime X299-Deluxe, the ROG Strix X299-E Gaming, the TUF X299 Mark 1 and Mark 2. Compared to the ROG Strix X99 Gaming, the ROG Strix X299-E Gaming offers similar features but a different color scheme.
Five models
Following the ASUS launch, also Sapphire has unveiled new graphics card devoted to mining. Unlike ASUS, Sapphire isn’t showing the cards on their homepage yet but they’re up for preorder on Overclockers UK. With this new series of graphics cards Sapphire offers four RX 470 and one RX 560 specifically for mining.

These days, the Bitcoin is experiencing another hype as currently the price for 1BTC is at a whopping $2'404 US. That means the value of one Bitcoin tripled within a very short period of time. As it always is with Bitcoin mining a big hype kicks in when the exchange rate explodes - as it just did. A few weeks ago we have seen rumors about upcoming mining GPUs and well here are some cards from ASUS now.
