Corsair launches Cherry MX RGB based gaming keyboards

The K95 RGB and the K70 RGB

Earlier this year, Corsair has announced that it will be the first company that will use Cherry's MX RGB mechanical switches and it appears that Computex 2014 was a perfect place to launch the new K95 RGB and the K70 RGB mechanical gaming keyboard as well as the M65 RGB gaming mouse, all with the new Cherry MX RGB switches.

According to Corsair, the K95 RGB and the K70 RGB have all the Corsair unique features including the sleek design, ultra-accurate components, and sturdy metal construction combining for minimalist looks, pinpoint accuracy, and long-lasting performance. The new Cherry MX RGB switches allow the software to create an unlimited lighting effects and macros.

The Corsair K95 RGB gaming keyboard feature aircraft-grade black anodized brushed aluminum design and uses Cherry MX RGB Red mechanical switches, giving it precise feedback. It can be programmed with up to 108 macros, features 18 dedicated G-Keys, on-bard memory for macro and lighting profile storage, 100% anti-ghosted matrix, full-key rollover and 1000Hz reporting rate.

The Corsair K70 RGB gaming keyboard pretty much packs all the same features as the K95, but comes with a more traditional design and thus has less macro options. Unlike the Corsair K95 RGB, which will only stick to Cherry MX RGB Red switches, the K70 RGB will be available with red, blue and brown switches.

The last but not the least is the new Corsair M65 RGB gaming mouse, released as the perfect companion for two new gaming keyboards. Features a light weight aluminum unibody shell as well as a 8,200 DPI gaming grade laser sensor, the M65 RGB is definitely not just a good looking mouse. This eight-button gaming rodent has an adjustable weight system that can change the center of gravity, button for DPI adjustment, a dedicated sniper button and a three-zone backlighting that can match the K95 RGB and K70 RGB gaming keyboards.

The entire Corsair RGB lineup will be backed by a two year warranty. The K70 RGB gaming keyboard will be the first to hit the market in July with Cherry MX RGB Red switches (blue and brown available in late August) with a price set at US $169.99. The K70 RGB will be followed by both the K90 RGB keyboard and M65 RGB mouse which should be available in late August with a price set at US $189.99 and US $69.99, respectively.
