Scythe unveils Kodati low-profile CPU cooler

The 34mm thick ultra low-profile CPU cooler

In addition to the new Mugen MAX tower CPU cooler, Scythe is also working on the new ultra low-profile Kodati CPU cooler which will certainly be popular among SFF and HTPC system builders due to the fact that it is a mere 34mm thick, including fan.

The precise dimensions of the Scythe Kodati are set at 82.5x95x34mm and it weighs in at 180g. It features a nickel-plated copper base which is connected to a C-Type aluminum heatsink via two 6mm-thick nickel-plated copper heatpipes. The heatsink is cooled from below, which means it blows air upwards, with a 80mm 10mm-thick PWM fan, which spins between 800 and 3,300RPM, pushes between 6 and 24.8CFM of air and produces between 8.2 and 32.5dBA of noise.

It supports most modern CPU sockets including Intel's LGA 115x and LGA 775 as well as AMD AM3 (+) and FM2 (+). The new Kodati ultra low-profile is expected in mid-June but we are sure we will see it during Computex.
