Nvidia has released its newest Geforce 337.88 WHQL driver which brings a bunch of performance improvements for recently released, as well as some older games. The new driver also brings a massive focus on the Ubisoft's Watch Dogs, promising up to 75 percent higher frame rates.
Nvidia's new Geforce 337.88 WHQL are mostly focused on 3840x2160 UHD and 2560x1440 WQHD resolutions but also includes optimizations for mid-range graphics cards and 1920x1080 resolution. In addition to game related performance improvements, the new driver also bring new and updated SLI profiles, 3D Vision enhancements and much more.
According to Nvidia, focus is on DirectX 11 performance optimizations which brings Nvidia HairWorks, NVIDIA HBAO+, and other NVIDIA GameWorks effects for game titles like Assassin’s Creed IV, Batman: Arkham Origins, Call of Duty: Ghosts, The Witcher 3, and Watch Dogs.
While the performance gain for most game performance optimizations will heavily depend on the CPU, GPU, operating system and general system configuration, Nvidia promises at least some degree of enhancement in almost all DirectX 11 games and showed those performance improvements on games like Theif, GRID 2, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Anno 2070, Metro: Last Light, Call of Duty: Ghosts and others.
