Today, ASUS has officially unveiled a full lineup of its new motherboards, based on Intel's Z97 Express and H97 Express chipsets. The new lineup features a rather decent number of products in order to satisfy any kind of need, whether you are an overclocker looking for the maximum performance, a gamer always seeking for a stable framerate, or a normal user that does not want to empty his pockets to buy a quality motherboard.

The entire lineup features a neat look, which is less aggressive than the older series, thanks to the new light gold color featured on many accessories. Each of the five models feature a golden heatsink, which is made out of anodized aluminum and used to cool down the PCH. There are three Z97 models, the Z97 Deluxe, Z97-A and the Z97 Pro WiFi. All these models features the 5 Way Optimization technology which, thanks to the Dual Intelligent Processor 5 chips, allows the user to control the most important aspects of his motherboard. You can use Turbo App to create personalized settings for audio and networking, while the Fan Xpert 3 allows you to change the rotation speed of every fan of your system, including the CPU fan, in order to ensure optimal colling. New ASUS motherboards also come with three tools which were already available on previous motherboards, such as TurboV Processing Unit, to push your CPU to the maximum limit, Energy Processing Unit to create energy saving settings, and DIGI+ Power Control.






The rest of the lineup, which includes the mini-ITX H97I Plus and the H97M Plus, also offer exceptional audio quality, thanks to Crystal Sound 2 and high quality Japanese capacitors.




To ensure high-speed networking without any lag, ASUS bundles their motherboards with the Turbo LAN software, which allows even the most unexperienced users to maximize their Internet connection. Furthermore, a few selected Z97 motherboard are bundled with dual-band 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

As far as the constructive quality is concerned, ASUS is always on top with its DIGI+ VRM, DRAM overcurrent protection, ESD Guards, high quality solid state capacitors and stainless steel I/O panel which are standard features on every ASUS Z97 and H97 motherboard.

Last but not least, ASUS created two interesting accessories for this lineup: the ASUS NFC Express 2, which allows the user to connect his PC with mobile devices without any kind of cables, and ASUS Wirelss Charger, which lets you charge your Qi-compatible devices with a simple charing stand.
