Intel Devils Canyon comes on June 2nd

Haswell Refresh on May 11th

Although there has been a lot of rumors pointing to these days, the recent confirmation, leaked on VR-Zone, which was taken from Intel's official slides, shows that the Intel's Haswell Refresh CPUs will officially launch on May 11th while the Devil's Canyon and Pentium K parts should follow on June 2nd.

In case you missed it before, Intel's 9-series chipsets, the Z97 Express and H97 Express chipsets, will be launching along the Haswell Refresh lineup while the Devil's Canyon SKUs, which are basically unlocked "K" Haswell Refresh parts, as well as the Pentium "K" SKUs will be officially launched on 2nd of June.

We have already seen a bunch of various motherboards based on new and upcoming Intel 9-series chipsets.

The Haswell Refresh lineup will mostly focus on mere 100-200MHz frequency bumps while the Devil's Canyon SKUs will be the ones that will actually benefit from updated packaging materials, improved TIM (Thermal Interface) as well as re-engineering which should bring performance improvements and more overclocking headroom.

In any case, it will be an interesting next few month, especially from Intel's side.
