Recuva updated to v1.51

Brings support for Ext2 and Ext3

The Piriform Recuva software is a tool for data recovery on storage media that have been deleted and formatted and finally, the new version brings support for Linux-specific file systems.

Piriform is a company known for various software solutions and among them is the Recuva, a simple app that can save more than your photo album.

The Recuva tool has been around for quite some time and seen four or five yearly updates. The last, v1.51, is not revolutionary but will definitely be appreciated by the Linux community as it brings support for Ext2 and Ext3 file systems. In addition to the support for new file systems, the new version also brings an improved algorithm analysis for FAT32 volumes as well as an improved interface. The detection and management of SSDs continues to evolve and has been updated with new models.

Recuva is a free software which includes advanced features mostly found with softwares that you need to pay, like for example image analysis in VHD Pro. More info as well as the download link can be found at Piriform.
