The plastic iPhone 5C has not been doing quite well so it does not come as a surprise that Apple has decided to update the line with cheaper 8GB version. The new model is currently available only in certain European markets but according to details, it will most likely be available all around eventually.
It the UK, the new iPhone 5C 8GB is listed at £429 which is a mere £40 less than the 16GB version which honestly does not make it a great deal. In Germany, which is usually a good point for European prices, the iPhone 5C 8G is listed at €549, which is €50 less than what you need to shell out for the 16GB version of the plastic iPhone 5C.
While the new iPhone 5C 8GB is definitely cheaper than the 16GB version, we still think it is still way too expensive considering that for as low as €350 you can still get a great Samsung Galaxy S4 or Google's Nexus 5.
