It appears that the Google Chromecast will finally break its US exclusive chains as, according to the leaked internal Dixons listing, it should be available in the UK as of 19th of March.
Unfortunately, the leaked listing, spotted by Android Police, does not show the price of the Chromecast in the UK, or details if the Chromecast will actually be available via Google Play Store, but it at least confirms the date.
Many earlier rumors pointed that the UK will definitely be the one of the first European countries to get the Chromecast and Google's executive of Android and Chrome, Sundar Pichai, noted that it will also be available in more countries as well.
The Chromecast also got a neat update which added 50 new languages to this little dongle which suggest that Google is definitely aiming for global availability of the Chromecast.
In case you missed it, Google's US $35 priced Chromecast is a 2-inch long smart HDMI stick that integrates all Google's services as well as allow you to share connect from various devices to your Chromecast connected TV. It plugs in your free HDMI input on the TV and thanks to integrated WiFi connects to any Android or iOS device and is able to share content from any service including Youtube, Play Music, Play Video and even the Chrome on smartphone tablet or notebook.
Hopefully, the rest of the Europe will get it quite soon as there is definitely an interest for this little device.
