Iiyama has announced its latest 24-inch gaming monitor, the ProLite GB2488HSU. Designed for hardcore gamers, the new GB2488HSU features a response time of 1ms as well as a 144Hz refresh rate which should help in reducing motion blur and provide smoother animations.


The rest of the features include some user optimized functions which should improve gaming experience, including the Video Mode Adjust which matches any aspect such as 5:4 with pixel perfect accuracy, the Black Tuner which gives greater viewing performance in shadowed area with brightness adjustments, the Direct Drive function which bypasses a number of functions handled by the screen in order to get the highest frame rate and lowest lag, and the User Setting Storage which allows up to three configuration settings to be saved for later use.

The 24-inch ProLite GB2488HSU also features DVI, two HDMI and DisplayPort inputs as well as USB hub and speakers. It packs an ergonomic height and pivot adjustable stand with a range of 13cm.

According to Iiyama, the ProLite GB2488HSU will be launched across Europe in mid-March with a suggested retail rpice of around €319, inc. VAT.
