Solid Art Labs mixing gamepad and keyboard/mouse

Kickstarter makes it happen

It appears that Solid Art Labs certainly likes to brainstorm and currently they are trying to create a mix between the gamepad, keyboard and mouse in order to solve the problem where you constantly have to take your hands off the mouse to type on the keyboard.

The King's Assembly, as Solid Art Labs decided to call it, is composed of two elements, the Strategist and the Elementalist, one for each hand. Both devices serve as a mouse and when placed together turn into a full keyboard while some parts of those devices feature gamepad elements, sticks and buttons.

The solutions gives a bit of freedom as in case you just need a mouse with bunch of buttons, you can choose just one of those devices but if you like the concept of the keyboard it offers, you might want to go for both of them.

Currently, the project has raised over US $40,000 in support and has already went over asked US $20,000 for funding. Solid Art Labs is asking US $125 for single device and US $200 for the set. The delivery is scheduled for August or September this year and if the project reaches US $250,000, Solid Art Labs will go for wireless solution. It will also make a couple of different wrist rest when the project reaches US $50,000.
