According to a report from Bloomberg, citing sources close to the HTC, the company will show off no less than three wearable devices during Mobile World Congress 2014 scheduled to kick off in Barcelona next week, including two smartwatches and a wristband.
According to the report, one of the smartwatches is a prototype based on Qualcomm's Toq smartwatch while other one rely on Google now. The wristband should be somewhat connected to music. Since one of the smartwatches will be based on Qualcomm's Toq design, the report suggests that the specifications will be quite similar with Mirasol screen and basic ability to call, get texts, play music and view calendar data. The other smartwatch might be a bit more complex and have more features.
Unfortunately, the report also noted that although HTC will definitely release a wearable device this year it is very likely that all three devices are currently in prototype stage and HTC will only show them behind close doors for now and keep a tight wrap on it.
Of course, we might see some first leaks as soon as MWC 2014 kicks off next week.
