Microsoft denies cheaper Xbox One rumors

Not all rumors are true

There were quite a few rumors stating that Microsoft could be working on a cheaper Xbox One in order to put more pressure on Sony's Playstation 4, but according to latest Twitter post from Microsoft's Chief of Staff for Devices and Studios, Aaron Greenberg, it appears that rumors were false.

It is definitely a big battle between Sony and Microsoft and their next-generation consoles, the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One. While Sony might have an upper hand currently, recent rumors suggested that Microsoft might be working on a cheaper model or even a price cut for the current model in order to gain momentum and put more pressure on Sony.

Unfortunately, it appears that rumors were false, as the recent Twitter post from Microsoft's Chief of Staff for Devices and Studios, Aaron Greenberg, saying that "No, you cannot believe everything you read on the Internet", suggest that Microsoft is not moving a single finger.

It appears that we will not be looking at a cheaper Xbox One version or the price cut for current one anytime soon.
