Mad Catz has announced the shipping of the Tritton 720+, a 7.1-channel gaming surround headset for PC.
According to Mad Catz, the new Tritton 720+ should bring affordable Tritton surround sound to PC gamers. With simple connection to the USB port, the new Tritton 720+ is as simple and straightforward as possible. It features in-line controls which can be detached from the 3.5mm jack, allowing connection of wide other mobile and smart devices.
"We believe the combination of excellent sound quality and simplified connection will make the 720+ an extremely appealing proposition for passionate PC gamers." said Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz. The Tritton 720+ features a single button which enables Dolby Headphone technology, pushing 7.1 surround sound, while Dolby Pro Logic IIx processing for stereo audio will create 7.1-channel effect. It also comes with Selectable Voice Monitoring (SVM) which allows gamers to pick up their own voice through the headset.
Currently, Mad Catz's Tritton 720+ is listed at Newegg.com starting at US $183.56, while in Europe, you can find them listed starting at around €120.
