ROCCAT has already established itself as a premium gaming peripheral manufacturer and its Kave gaming headset has seen a couple of changes since the launch of the original one. Today, the Kave XTD 5.1 Digital brings a couple of bonus options that can't be found with competition headsets.

It is quite clear that we are not looking at an entry-level product and with three 40mm drivers and a 30mm low one in each earpiece, removable microphone, 5.1-channel sound card, it certainly sounds like a real premium product. The design and the looks are sleek, simple and elegant. The headband is padded and adjustable and it features a detachable microphone with LED. Of course, it all comes down to the actual build quality and robustness of the connections on the headband.
You might have noticed on the picture that the sound card is not just a little box but also has an integrated Bluetooth that can connect to your smartphone.
The Kave XTD 5.1 Digital is already available at a suggested retail price of €169.99. In Q3 2014, the Kave XTD 5.1 Digital will be joined by the Kave XTD 5.1 Analog version for those that already own a 5.1-channel sound card and should retail at around €99.99, while the Kave XTD Stereo should come in Q4 2014 with a price of €69.99.
