ASUS' Republic of Gamers brand already has quite a wide product range for gamers and it was long ago when the brand was actually focused exclusively on motherboards and graphics cards. Recently, ASUS' ROG brand has been extended to quite a few peripheral devices, including the recently launched Cerberus gaming headset.
For starters, let us check out the specifications:
- Drivers : 60 mm li> Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20'000Hz li> Impedance: 32ohms li> Microphone: 50Hz - 16'000Hz li> connection: 3.5 mm jack li> cable : 1.2m + 1.3m < / li >
Impressively, ASUS equipped the new Cerberus gaming headset with 60mm drivers packed inside a 100mm large ear cushions in order to provide good sound with punchy bass as well as great noise isolation. With a weight of 266 grams, the new Cerberus headset is quite light and also features two microphones. The one of the microphones is removable and placed on one of the ear cushions while the other has been integrated in the cable, allowing the headset to be used with smartphones as well.
As far as the design goes, the new ASUS ROG Cerberus really looks like SteelSeries' Siberia V2 headset and that is not a bad thing considering that Siberia headsets are one of the best on the market.
In case you are wondering, the ASUS Republic of Gamers Cerberus gaming headset can be found online starting at around €49. At that price, it certainly sounds like a great deal.
