VTX3D has unveiled its newest members of the X-Edition series, the R9 290X X-Edition and the R9 290 X-Editon, both based on a custom solution with dual fan cooler.

Both new X-Edition graphics cards pack 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 512-bit memory interface as well as a custom power design with digital PWM, Multi Phase Design, Ferrite Core Chokes and SVI2 power management. The new VTX3D R9 290 X-Edition works at 975MHz for the GPU and 1250MHz (5000MHz effective) for the memory which is 30MHz higher than reference design. The R9 290X X-Edition on the other hand works at 1030MHz for the GPU while 4GB of GDDR5 memory remains at 1250MHz (5000MHz effective).

As noted earlier, both models are cooled with a custom dual-slot cooler with GSG-shape copper heatpipes, larger aluminum cooling fins and two 90mm fans.

Unfortunately, VTX3D did not reveal any details regarding the price or the precise release date for new X-Edition graphics cards.
