The shooter Titanfall is about to be release on the 11th of March later this year and it looks like the game won't feature PC mod or map tools, at least not at launch date. This is what Vince Zampella, co-founder at Respawn Entertainment has been tweeting.
At the end of 2013 Zampella responded to a question, where he was asked, whether there will be mod tools alongside the game. He replied: "Not at launch for sure. We will have to evaluate after launch."
With Titanfall the devlopers are trying something new, since the want to integrate story elements into the multiplayer mode. Usually the multiplayer mode is completely separate from the story, but since gamers are spending most of the time in multiplayer, it does make sense integrate the story into this as well.
It will be really interesting to see what the final game will be like, since this is definitely something new. And as always when something new is being tried, it can be a great success but it can also end in a disaster.
