Motorola/Google Moto G getting Android 4.4.2 KitKat

But only in US for now

Motorola/Google's Moto G certainly placed a new meaning on "affordable smartphone" and now it will be getting the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, while some high-end smartphones are still struggling with Jelly Bean. Unfortunately, the update will be available only to US versions of the Moto G.

While the US version of the Moto G will be getting, and probably is already on most Moto G smartphones in the USA, there is now word on when will Motorola push the update to the Old Continent. In addition to all features, fixes and updates that Android 4.4.2 brings to all devices, Moto G one will also include some improvements for the camera.

While Google already made clear that Motorola, as a company acquired by Google more than two years ago, will not get any special treatment, it appears that Google is definitely pushing hard to bring back the Motolora to masses and it is definitely stepping on some toes in this process.
