LG to introduce new monitors at CES 2014

Couple of UltraWide QHD and 4K/UHD monitors

LG has announced that it will introduce a couple of new monitors during Consumer Electronics Show 2014 scheduled to kick off in Las Vegas on January 7th 2014, including a couple of new UM95 series UltraWide 21:9 QHD monitors, a true 4K 31-inch as well as a couple of new UM65 series monitors aimed at use in an office environment.

According to LG, although it was originally developed as user-centric PC monitor series that should enhance both the work and play computing experience, these monitors have proven to be a critical and commercial success so LG will bring two new models to CES 2014 that will be available in 29-inch and 34-inch sizes. Both will feature 21:9 aspect ratio and QHD 3440x1440 resolution as well as a couple of neat new design solutions and features including Thunderbolt 2 support, True Color Finder calibration software, 99 percent sRGB reproduction and a sleek metallic finish with transparent Crystal Float stand.

In case the QHD resolution is just not enough, LG will be also showcasing its new 41-inch Real 4K monitor based on IPS panel with 4096x2160 resolution, the 31MU95.

As noted, LG will also showcase a couple of leaner and more economical monitors, the UM65 series. To be available in 25-, 29- and 34-inch sizes. These are geared towards workplace productivity and while being a bit cheaper, the 34-inch version also comes with Crystal Float stand concept from UM95 series as well as screen height adjustment and other feature mostly aimed office use.
