MSI has announced two new All-in-One PC based on Intel's H81 Express chipset paired up with Intel's Haswell CPUs, the 21.5-inch MSI AE221 and the 27-inch AE270.
As noted, both new MSI AIO PCs will be based on Intel's H81 Express chipset and feature either the Core i3-4130 Haswell CPU or the Core i5-4440s, depending on the SKU. The rest of the features include either Intel's HD Graphics 4400 or 4600 depending on the CPU and even the dedicated Nvidia Geforce GT740M GPU with 2GB of VRAM, up to 16GB of DDR3/1600 SODIMM memory in two slots, 3.5-inch SATA 6Gbps HDD or optional 2.5-inch SSD, 802.11bgn WiFi, optional Blu-ray optical drive, 2-megapixel camera, optional TV tuner, 3-in-1 card reader, two 3W integrated speakers with Sound Blaster Cinema, two USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, HDMI input and output, Gigabit, Ethernet and wireless keyboard and mouse bundled with the AIO.
There will most likely be plenty of SKUs depending on the configuration. The AE270 will feature 27-inch LCD LED backlit 1920x1080 (10 point touch optional) flicker-free screen while the AE221 will be based on pretty much the same screen, just in 21.5-inch size.
Both the AE221 and the AE270 run on Windows 8.1 OS and should provide decent experience for a home-computer. Both models should be hit European retail/e-tail shelves as of today but MSI did not, unfortunately, shed any light on the actual price of any SKU.
