ASUS announces availability of RT-AC68U router

ASUS has announced that its RT-AC68U Wireless-AC1900 dual-band router is now available for pre-order in the USA. In case you missed it earlier, the RT-AC68U can deliver up to 1.3Gbps over 802.11ac and 600Mbps over 820.11n thanks to Broadcom's TurboQAM technology, making it the world's fastest dual-band wireless router.

Powered by a dual-core processor, the ASUS RT-AC68U has no problems with performance drops that usually plagues other routers in busy network, according to ASUS and allows HD video streaming as well as low latencies for online gaming and VOIP calls even on busiest home networks.

The rest of the features include dual USB ports (one USB 3.0) for file, printer and 3G/4G modem sharing, ASUS' AiCloud technology for easier streaming and sharing for mobile devices as well as AiRadar technology that should strengthen the signal for better coverage and dual-band support for full backward-compatibility and future ease of mind.

According to ASUS, the RT-AC68U is currently available for pre-order at Amazon, NCIX and Newegg in the states and we will hopefully see it in Europe pretty soon as well.
