Plantronics has decided that Gamescom 2013 is definitely the right place to announce is new line of gaming products, the RIG series. According to Plantronics, the RIG series will be designed with multi-screen and multi-device connection in mind and offer superior game audio and chat with mobile audio, music and apps. The first member of the RIG family is the new premium stereo headset and mixer audio system.
To be available worldwide this fall, the new Plantronics RIG gaming headset and mixer brings mobile and gaming connectivity to a new level by providing an easy way to switch between game and game chat to taking a phone call with a simple touch of the paddle. The new headset will offer exceptional audio quality with 40mm speaker drivers and features the innovative mixer which is the heart of the RIG system and provide a way to mix between game audio, voice chat and even smartphone audio, if it is connected to the device.

It also comes with interchangeable boom and in-line mics, three EQ profiles, interesting street style industrial design, ultra-comfortable ear cushions and headband for long gaming sessions and offers universal compatibility with PC/Mac, Xbox 360, PS3, smartphone and tablets as well as pretty much any device that needs audio.

As noted, the new Plantronics RIG gaming headset is expected to hit retail/e-tail shelves worldwide in fall with a suggested price of US $129, £109.99 and €129.99.
