Gigabyte announces Geforce GTX 770 Windforce 3X OC

With 4GB of GDDR5 memory

Gigabyte has announced yet another member of the GTX 700 series, the Gigabyte Geforce GTX 770 Windforce 3X OC 4GB. Based on a custom Gigabyte PCB, Windforce 3X cooler and factory overclock, the new GTX 770 Windforce 3X OC will also feature 4GB of GDDR5 memory.

As noted earlier, the new Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce 3X OC features a factory overclock so the GPU ended up clocked at 1137MHz base and 1189MHz GPU Boost clocks while 4GB of memory ended up at reference 7010MHz with 256-bit memory interface. The half of the chips are located on the back of the PCB but unfortunately, the card lacks the back-plate.

In case you missed it before, Gigabyte's Windforce 3X cooler uses six copper heatpipes connected to two large aluminum heatsink that are cooled by three 80mm fans. According to Gigabyte, the Windforce 3X should keep this card well below 80°C letting it use the GPU Boost clocks a bit more often and for a longer period of time.

According to Gigabyte, the new Geforce GTX 770 Windforce 3X OC 4GB graphics card will have a MSRP set at US $499.99 but was also available at Newegg.com for US $449 as a limited time offer.
