Asus announces Transformer Pad Infinity

Nvidia Tegra 4 and 2560x1600 IPS+ panel

During its Computex 2013 press conference Asus has launched quite a few new devices and products including the new premium tablet, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity. One of the first devices based on Nvidia's Tegra 4 chip, the new Asus Transformer Pad Infinity will feature an ultra-sharp 2560x1600 IPS+ panel and bunch of other features reserved only for Asus' high-end offer.

As noted, the new Transformer Pad Infinity is based on Nvidia's Tegra 4 quad-core chip clocked at 1.9GHz and paired up with 2GB of DDR3L memory. It is built around a 10.1-inch LED backlit IPS+ panel with 2560x1600 resolution, 299ppi and 400nits of brightness. As expected, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and feature 32GB of internal storage expandable by a microSD card slot and complimented by free 5GB of Asus WebStorage.

The precise dimensions are set at 263x180.8x8.9mm and it weighs 600g. The rest of the features include dual-band 802.11abgn, Miracast support and Bluetooth 3.0 for connectivity, 1.2-megapixel fron and 5-megapixel rear camera with f/2.4 aperture, G-Sensor, Light Sensor, Gyroscope, E-compass, GPS, micro HDMI output and 31Wh Li-polymer battery that should keep it running for eight hours according to Asus.

As it was the case with all previous Asus Transformer devices, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity also comes with a mobile dock that gives it additional USB 3.0 port, and extends the battery to up to 16 hours.

Unfortunately, Asus has yet to announce the precise availability date and the precise price of the new Transformer Pad Infinity.
