MSI unveiled two new graphics cards based on the good old Tahiti GPU but with enabled PowerTune with Boost feature. To be known as the MSI HD 7970 Boost Edition, it will feature two models, a reference clocked and factory-overclocked one.
Both models in the new MSI HD 7970 Boost Edition series feature a custom PCB and MSI's quite well known Twin Frozr III cooler with dual 80mm fans. The base model works at 925MHz for the base GPU clock, 975MHz for PowerTune Boost GPU clock while 3GB of DDR5 memory ended up clocked at 5.5GHz.
